Candle #2 is Thyme and Black Pepper. Similar to our Lemon Verbena candle it is lightly scented. Our newest candle is woodsy, earthy and spicy–– it smells warm. The scent is hardy but not overpowering like the faintest fine Japanese Incense or a hint of burning herbs. Thyme is another staple in our garden and thrives even throughout the cold months. The smell of both candles are illusive and impactful, they subtly add to a meal, a relaxing moment or fuel my work.
I am burning the Thyme and Black Pepper in the library and can faintly smell it throughout the first floor and the Lemon Verbena is in my kitchen.
I feel very fortunate to have a connection with the candle makers of The Grown Collective in rural Virginia .They are incredibly patient, collaborating with us to perfect scents. They also make their own beautiful concrete vessels that can be re-purposed for other uses after the candle is burnt.
Candle #3 is coming soon- Peony and Basil.
