This was a dream job. The bride wanted the celebration of her marriage at the incredible Rania Restaurant to look as if had been abandoned and nature had taken over. Foraged foliage- nandina and ivy, smilax from East Texas Smilax, Spirea from Mountain Flower Farm and found mossy logs were the main components. We also used large amounts of jasmine hanging from the entrance lighting fixture that filled the air with a sweet scent as guests arrived and exited. We used flowers only at the bar. We also made small cookies and cakes for the dessert table- Rose Pistachio Shortbread, Miso Tahini Chocolate Chip Drops, Small Olive Oil Cakes with Strawberry and Coconut. And lucky me, Amelia Johnson photographed and did an incredible job of capturing the details.
