I enjoy the wide range of weddings that we do. The excitement, planning and execution of a large production with lots of moving pieces is challenging, mostly fun and deeply satisfying. But I also find lots of joy working on the small highly personal celebrations. Often without the need of large scale production it is possible to have general guidelines and then make sourcing and design decisions last minute based on a handful of fragile flowers or an individual impossible to guarantee bloom. For example in this wedding the design plan was “colorful early summer that work in concert with the contemporary art in our home”. We got to use lupine, itoh peony and green campanula all of which are only available for about two weeks early summer. Most of the photos were captured by Justin Kunimoto. Beautiful Details: Sacai dress, most of the flowers sourced from Pleasant Hills Farm, vases Remark Glass. Thanks for letting me be a part of your perfect celebration.
